Our Pastor and First Lady Rogers: Classic Contemporaries
Pastor T.L. Rogers, a noted and gifted speaker, teacher and Senior Minister, takes the congregation through an exciting biblical journey while making his teachings relevant to everyday life. His goal is to ensure that each person has a thorough understanding of who he or she is and how he or she fits into God's plan. Pastor Rogers' love, compassion, and understanding of the human condition as well as his love for God makes him ideally suited for this unique ministry. His desire is to serve those to who God calls him to minister and he believes that this is best accomplished by teaching and training those people in the Word of God.
Pastor Rogers is the organizer and pastor of Triumphant, located at Riggs and Sargent Roads in Hyattsville, Maryland. This fellowship has a thriving mid-week service and systematic bible study, as well as 26 ministries. The ministries include premarital and post-marital counseling; men's, women's and single's discipleship classes; new members' orientation classes, and youth mentoring programs.
Most recently, he and his wife, Mable, developed workshop and seminar series entitled "Triumphant Relationships." Pastor Rogers is an instructor in the Congress of Christian Education, for the Progressive National Baptist Convention and serves on their Home Mission Board. Pastor Rogers has traveled extensively and has ministered in Korea, Japan, West Germany, Kenya and East Africa.
T.L. Rogers was born in New York City, New York and was reared in Washington, DC. He was led to the Lord at a very early age in a Christian home. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Religious Education from Washington Bible College and has completed much of his graduate work at Capital Bible Seminary.
Pastor Rogers currently resides in Mitchellville, Maryland and he and his wife are the proud parents of Tiffany Joi, and Perrin Dior both of whom are involved in the ministry. He has a passion for family and marriage ministries and his dream is to write (and publish) books in the area of relationships and perhaps one day regularly appear on the talk show circuit to minister in the area of relationships to those who are single or married.
Mable was born in Greenwood SC and was reared in Washington D.C. She was led to the Lord at a very early age and developed her love for Christ in a Christian home. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from University of District of Columbia and has completed graduate work at Catholic University.
She assisted Pastor T. L. Rogers in organizing the Triumphant Church in 1987 and is currently in full-time ministry there where she serves as the Minister of Operations, Director of Women's Ministries, and as a Deaconess.
She is an anointed Bible teacher for women's groups and conducts workshops, seminars and retreats on family life, marriage and relationships.
She has been married to Pastor Rogers for more than 32 years and co-founded with him the Triumphant Marriages and Relationship Ministry. She is the mother of two adult children Tiffany Joi and Perrin Dior, both actively involved in ministry.
