Mission/Vision
Our Mission Statement - Make disciple makers of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Our Vision Statement - Bring people together in Christ. (Ephesians 2:13-22)
1. We believe there is one God who subsists in three persons.
Each of the three is co-equal and co-eternal and have revealed themselves in the Bible.
Deuteronomy 6:4 - 4 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one." (ESV)
Matthew 3:16-17 - 16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." (ESV)
2. We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God as it was given in its original manuscripts.
2 Timothy 3:16 - 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (ESV)
3. We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the incarnation of the second person of the Godhead; that He is the infinite God-Man having been miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Godhead, and born of the Virgin Mary.
John 1:1-2, 14- 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. , 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (ESV)
Luke 1:4, 35 - 4 that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught, 35 And the angel answered her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God. (ESV)
4. We believe that Jesus lived sinlessly upon the earth and became
the perfect sacrifice on behalf of sinful mankind when He died physically on the cross.
Thus, He satisfied the judgment of God, acquitting all people who exercise faith in the person and work of Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:3-5 - 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. (ESV)
1 Peter 2:24 - 25 - 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. (ESV)
Romans 3:23-25 - 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. (ESV)
5. We believe that Jesus was buried physically and on the third day rose again physically
(though in a glorified form). In so doing the Father demonstrated the effectiveness of his
payment for sin and imparted resurrection life to all who have faith in who Christ is and what He had done.
1 Corinthians 15:4-11 - 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. (ESV)
Ephesians 1:19-21 - 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. (ESV)
6. We believe that Jesus physically ascended back to the Father,
the first person of the Godhead, and sent the Holy Spirit to indwell believers.
At the right hand of the Father, Jesus makes intercession, defends, and prepares a place for His people.
Acts 1:9 - 9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. (ESV)
John 14:1-2 - 1 "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? (ESV)
1 John 2:1-2 -1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (ESV)
7. We believe in the physical return of Jesus Christ to receive His people unto Himself, and to judge the world.
Acts 1:11 - 11 and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven." (ESV)
John 14:3 - 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. (ESV)
Revelation 20:11-15 - 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (ESV)
Matthew 25:31-46 -31 "When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' 40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'
41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' 44 Then they also will answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?' 45 Then he will answer them, saying, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.' 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." (ESV)
